The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) recently released *IEC 63240-1:2024 General Technical Requirements for Membrane Switches*, marking the world's first authoritative standard for this product category. Notably, the "dynamic load testing method" proposed by the Chinese delegation was adopted as a core testing methodology, reflecting China's technological leadership in this field.
Wang Jianjun, Secretary-General of the China Membrane Switch Industry Association, stated that the new standard will significantly reduce technical barriers in international trade. Certification bodies such as TÜV Rheinland have already launched compliance services based on this standard, which is expected to improve export clearance efficiency for domestic manufacturers by 30%.
