A domestic materials science team has recently developed ultra-high-flexibility membrane switches with a service life exceeding 1 million cycles—far surpassing industry averages. The product combines a nano-silver wire conductive layer with a polyimide substrate, measuring just 0.1mm thick, and can seamlessly conform to curved screens and wearable devices.
Industry experts indicate that such membrane switches will resolve long-standing interface durability issues in smartwatches, foldable phones, and other devices, with mass production expected in the first half of next year. Companies like Samsung and Huawei have already reached cooperation intentions with the R&D team, potentially leading a new revolution in consumer electronics interaction methods.
