PVC Dome Membrane Switch has good waterproof and dustproof performance and can effectively prevent the erosion of harmful gases (such as sulfur-containing gases).

The color, pattern, and buttons (size and shape) can be designed according to customer requirements, and the font, display window position, and size can be freely selected. It has the characteristics of low cost and long service life.

Widely employed in medical equipment such as patient monitors and infusion pumps; industrial control applications including machine tool and automated production line control panels; consumer electronics including microwave ovens and air conditioning remote controls; and automotive electronics such as vehicle centre consoles and instrument panel buttons.

The company can provide PCB membrane switches and metal leaf membrane switches according to customer requirements.

PCB Membrane Switch Panel Types

  • Flat Non-tactile Type: Offers extended service life but lacks distinct tactile feedback during operation, commonly employed in products with minimal tactile requirements.

  • Film-based Convex Tactile Type: Provides excellent tactile feedback with noticeable user response upon actuation, though service life is comparatively shorter.

  • Raised Bezel Non-tactile Type: Features an aesthetically pleasing appearance with pronounced three-dimensionality, yet offers no tactile feedback, primarily distinguished by its unique form factor.

  • Raised-Frame Tactile Type: Combines aesthetic appeal and three-dimensionality with tactile feedback, enhancing the user's operational experience.

  • Metal dome: The spring serves both as a tactile element and a circuit connection. Depending on the spring's placement and circuit configuration, various types exist, such as Type A where the spring is positioned on the upper circuit, functioning as both a tactile element and upper circuit connection, and Type D where the spring is placed on the lower circuit, serving as both a tactile element and a connection between the upper and lower circuits.

  • Illuminated body type: Typically requires an open-bottom adhesive mould. Based on the spatial relationship between the LED circuit and the underlying circuit, it can be categorised into two types: same-layer and different-layer. The same-layer structure is simpler but may necessitate embossing the panel surface or thickening the surface adhesive layer; the different-layer structure is more complex, though the LED viewing window does not necessarily require embossing.

  • Folded design: This type often eliminates the need for jumpers and soldered holes, allowing the conductive surface to face downward. However, it has the disadvantage that circuits at the fold are prone to breakage.

  • Outer-inner frame waterproof design: The outer frame is a sealed enclosure without wiring, serving to protect the inner frame. It prevents moisture ingress through the cable exit groove into the housing, offering superior waterproof performance.

  • Conductive film type: Achieves circuit conductivity through printed conductive inks or conductive films, representing the most fundamental type commonly found in standard push-button switch panels.

  • Capacitive: Employing capacitive sensing technology to detect touch operations without physical contact, offering advantages such as high durability and aesthetically pleasing design. Frequently utilised in equipment demanding superior appearance and operational experience.

  • Backlit: Incorporating LED backlighting functionality to illuminate switch labels or symbols in low-light environments, facilitating user operation. Commonly found in devices used during night-time hours.
