Membrane switch panel is a kind of flexible human-machine interaction component integrating keys, circuits and graphic interfaces. It realizes signal triggering and transmission through multi-layer film structure, and has the characteristics of light and thin, sealing, customizable, etc., which is widely used in the fields of industrial control, medical instruments, consumer electronics and so on.
Membrane switch panels serve as the top-layer operational and display interface for membrane switches. Their core functions include identifying key functions, protecting internal circuitry, and directly influencing both the user experience and the device's appearance. The primary substrate materials are PET, PC, and acrylic, with the appropriate type selected based on the specific application scenario.
PET: Excellent temperature resistance (-40°C to 120°C), high flexibility, moderate cost, resistant to chemical corrosion but with low surface hardness (1H-2H). Suitable for general industrial equipment, home appliance remote controls, portable instruments (without high-frequency scratching requirements).
PC: High surface hardness (2H-3H, reaching 4H after hardening), strong impact resistance, approximately 85% light transmittance, slightly inferior temperature resistance compared to PET (-40°C to 80°C). Suitable for high-frequency press-operated equipment (e.g., machine tool control panels) and consumer electronics requiring scratch resistance (e.g., microwave oven panels).
Acrylic: Exceptionally high light transmittance (92%+), strong weather resistance (UV-resistant, non-yellowing), and premium aesthetic texture. However, it exhibits poor flexibility and low impact resistance. Suitable for devices requiring high-brightness backlighting (e.g., premium instrumentation), smart home panels, and outdoor monitoring equipment.
